What is The Saudi Downtown Company?
Launched in October 2022 by His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Saudi Downtown Company (SDC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund.
As a PIF company, it is one of the key enablers of the advancement of Vision 2030 goals. The SDC is a real estate development company that aims to build and develop downtowns and mixed-use destinations in 12 Saudi cities, enhancing the quality of life and boosting economic growth.
The 12 cities in the first wave: Al-Madinah, Al-Khobar, Al-Ahsa, Buraidah, Najran, Jizan, Hail, Al-Baha, Arar, Taif, Dumat Al-Jandal, Tabuk.
SDC is guided by the PIF’s strategy to promote social and economic development and create new opportunities for talents and businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It focuses on driving economic diversification of the economy and contributing to the non-oil GDP growth, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
